Transparent, often called glycerin soap, is an exceptionally luxurious treat. This transparent soap is made entirely from scratch, not from a 'melt and pour' base, so more natural ingredients! The standard to which transparent soap is judged for it's clarity, is to be able to read text through a 1/4" slice. To ensure this clarity, the soap is cooked with 90 proof grain alcohol added, as well as glycerin and a concentrated sugar syrup. Isn't chemistry amazing!
